its really not a problem, the terminator wont be holding the overlap so you get a suitsble gap between two up trains and follow the P4 departure.Looking at RTT, Platform 5 sees a few odd down trains on the slow side today but mostly it hosts London Bridge and Watford terminators. Even these are a bit of a pain as on northbound departure you can't have a simultaneous run in to 4 at the same time.
Freight is usually recessed at P5, so it will have the parallel overlap (towards the Down Slow) and the 2 minute timeout will have elapsed by the time its path is available.Couldn't find any up passenger arrivals from the south in 5 on a cursory look, although there were occasional up freight paths.
