Hi all,

This is aimed primarily at those on here who were on the titled meet, although I forget who was and wasn't there at the time. yorkie, heart-of-wessex and I all were, but the other guys, I forget sorry!

Mainly what I'm wanting to know is the following:

1) Does anyone know which 31 took us from Bristol to Brighton?

2) Does anyone know which VEP took us to Portsmouth? Or what the CIGs were from Portsmouth to Waterloo?

3) Finally, does anyone know the date? I recall it was the Friday of the October half-term holiday in 2004, however I'm not sure which date that was. I'm thinking either 22nd or 29th of October 2004, but a definite date would be welcomed.

I'm asking mainly as heart-of-wessex and I are going through our old notes from trips made in the past 6 years or so, in an attempt to get as many journeys logged in our RailMiles accounts as possible.

I also remember the fireworks going off shortly before we got on the CIGs

You may wonder, as I declared I was writing up a trip report at the time, why I don't simply check that. Well, sadly, I've got no idea where the notes are now. I may well have binned them years ago.

So if anyone has answers to the above questions, or indeed further
information to add, please do post!

Thanks in advance :D

I'm 99% sure we went on the penultimate working of this service, which was Fridays-only. I am also certain we went during the Half Term holiday.

I'd therefore put my money on it being Friday 29 October 2004.

RIP Wessex 31s  Happy days - was it really that long ago? :(
