Brigg Line - current status?

Forgive me if this is not the correct forum, hope someone can help with information regarding the Brigg line. Does anyone have any information regarding current freight movements on the Brigg Line as I cannot find any details on the net, despite a fairly thorough search, only a thread in this forum that is several years old. I'm fairly ceratin that passenger trains only run on Saturdays and that freight movements comprise coal trains to and from Immingham, but are these still running and does anyone have any idea of when and how many per day/night?

No it didn't, the St Pancras to Cleethorpes ran via Scunthorpe and the return ran via Lincoln

There was an additional service on a Saturday, that ran from Sheffield to Cleethorpes stopping only at Retford and Grimsby Town, which was worked by a Class 185.

Sorry I assumed it went the short route from the Grimsby Telegraph article.

The 185s service during the Hatfield Colliery landslip was useless, I never used it, just the bus. I still don't understand why a Cleethorpes to Throne South service couldn't be provided with a bus to Doncaster from there, rather than all the way.

The primary purpose of that service was to unit swap the 185's I believe
I recall it had to be done on a weekend as the paths were all taken in the week with freight (which increased also due to Mount Hatfield)

I've been looking at RTT for the last 7 days of movements on the Brigg line passing Kirton Lindsey and, so far as I can tell, at most two trains actually ran on any day, the rest were "cancelled". I see that for next week there are up to 15 trains scheduled each day but all are "as required" and I assume that the "cancelled" trains in the last week were actually not required. Does this seem to be a reasonable interpretation?

Does anyone have any first hand information, up to date info as to what actually runs on the line? I'm a bit concerned about visiting as no trains at all ran yesterday or today!

no daytime freight uses the Brigg line any more, I'm afraid

A couple of years ago would have up to a dozen or trains a day;
and even more than that during the period when the direct route
from Immingham was blocked due to the Hatfield landslip!

Yes - there is no daytime freight traffic on the line at the moment.

Don't think they open the signal boxes until after 1300 except on Saturday, and apart from Brigg box which is due to close in 2017 all others are now staying for an extra 12 years
