Bridge Bash Lymington Branch

There was a Bridge Bash on the Lymington Branch earlier around 13.00. This is about the 6th on the Branch this year ( not always the same bridge) and we are not in June yet! Come to think of it I think this was the 3rd this month if not then it was at least the second

Lorry wedged under railway bridge causes long delays on the A337 in Lymington


MOTORISTS and rail commuters faced travel chaos after a lorry got stuck under a railway bridge in the New Forest.

The incident happened at the Ampress bridge on the A337 Southampton Road in Lymington this morning, and led to long delays developing in both directions.

The road between Marsh Lane and the Somerfield Roundabout reopened after the lorry was recovered from the scene.

Bus services, such as the Bluestar number six service, were diverted via Pilley, with delays of up to 25 minutes reported.... (article continues)
