Anyone else buy a Brennan JB7?
I think I bought mine in 2013. At first I was well chuffed, but I found it wasn't that great as a CD player, especially as it had no facility to programme tracks. And the CD playing function packed up on mine after about 4 years, and I realised rather than pay through the nose to get it repaired, I could buy a perfectly good CD player for about £25 in Cash Converters so I did that.
The ability to play stored tracks at random was a good facility, but it was no good at playing stored albums as it would fade out each track at the end and the beginning of the next one. There was no option of removing that feature, so that put me off using it to play albums. There was no mention of that on the web site.
When the CD playing function packed up, I did consider throwing it away, but I decided to hang on to it so I can occasionally play music randomly on it. . Not that I do that very often.
Anyone buy the follow up Brennen B2?

I have a Sony Gigajuke that you can rip cd's to a hard drive.Several cd's recorded the memory system does not recognise the cd details.I tend to listen to the radio thru the system and rip cd's onto my laptop now.I have considered a Brennan but I have a large collection of LP's that I can listen too thru a 'suitcase style' turntable (recent birthday present)all other hard drive systems I looked at are over £700 though I have seen some preloved systems on ebay ?

I bought a Brennan B2 four years ago. The improvements to the web interface have made it a lot easier to use from a browser on android phones and tablets. Unfortunately I don't listen to it very much these days as most music really irritates my tinnitus.

It's worth checking out the Brennan forum https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/brennanb2 to get an idea of the various issues that people have with these devices.
