Breckland Line Resignalling 2012

The resignalling is good for 100mph though there's currently no 100mph running. There's plenty of 80-90mph running on the line east of Lakenheath.

My source was perhaps only talking about just now.

Is there a 'temporary' limit of circa 75mph west of, say, Thetford? (or in other words the section of resignalling that has so far been commissioned).

The linespeed between Ely North Junction and Lakenheath is 45mph for anything that's not a sprinter and 75 mph for sprinters. Been unchanged for 20+ years and hasn't been changed by the resignalling.

There's been no changes to the linespeeds because of the resignalling.

Yes, yes it does.
The full list from the rule book (available freely online) is

This is what the letters mean:
HST class 91 locomotive with mark 4 vehicles and DVT,
168/170/171/175/180/220/221/222/253/254/373/390
MU multiple unit trains
DMU diesel multiple units
EMU electric multiple units
SP class 150/153/155/156/158/159/165/166/168/170/171
CS class 67 locomotive
At locations where both HST and SP speeds apply, classes
168/170/171 may run at the higher of the two speeds.
Class 185 trains must not run at any MU or DMU speeds.

I guess this allows them to update the lists of classes more easily? 172 will need to have been added to the SP list.

Breckland line disruption today.

From NRE Service Disruptions:

Overrunning engineering works in the Shippea Hill area are causing disruption

Because of this, buses are replacing trains between Norwich and Cambridge, with journey times extended by up to 30 minutes. This is expected to continue until approximately 17:00

Has been in place all day with end time extended 12.00 -> 14.00 -> 15.00 -> 16.00 -> 17.00 at intervals.

Is this really Shippea Hill or down to commissioning of the signals/crossings between Thetford and Norwich that was taking place over the last weekend?

'Cleared' just after 17.00:

Trains are now running normally between Norwich and Cambridge following overrunning engineering works near Shippea Hill
