Break of journey query

Just wondered if anyone could advise.

I am meeting friends in Newark for a few drinks in a couple of weeks, on the way back, they will be getting off at Lincoln whilst I will be going home to Grimsby.

I will be purchasing an Off-Peak Grimsby to Newark North Gate Day Return. Will I be able to break my journey by getting off at Lincoln for another pint or 2 and then catching the last train onto Grimsby?

The default conditions for an offpeak, or offpeak day, return are that there are no restrictions on breaking your journey, and a check of the specific conditions for your ticket (restriction B3) shows that there are no case-specific break of journey restrictions for your ticket. So what you propose will be fine.
