BR Priv through London

Thinking of a trip on a Saturday return trip from York into Kings Cross and across to Waterloo and on to Alton in the next few weeks.
I hold a BR Priv Ticket and used to buy a LT Priv at the kiosk years back.
What is the procedure now for travel on the tube?

What is the procedure now for travel on the tube?

You'll need to buy a cross-London ticket or get yourself an Oyster card with Priv discount loaded. Or buy a priv ticket from St Pancras to Blackfriars on Thameslink and have a stroll the rest of the way to Waterloo. If you are using safeguarded boxes you don't even have to buy a ticket for that and could go through London Bridge and back to Waterloo East.

Or even a 'not Underground' ticket from St Pancras to Waterloo East to use Thameslink to London Bridge and South Eastern to Waterloo East at £1,00 for a single.

I would think this wouldn’t need a ticket if a box is being used
