BR blue class 31 mainline in 2014?

Hi all.

In 2014 whilst staying on a hotel near Glasgow (Can't remember the exact location or line it was next to) a BR blue class 31 happened to run past.

I was thinking about this earlier and realised that seeing a 31 mainline is quite rare nowadays, never mind a BR blue one! So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas which one it was and what it may have been up to?

31128 - on its way to or from Fort William where it was a standby loco for Jacobite services.

Another one was 31106, that is now in storage at RVEL.

31128 working was 0Z29 Grosmont - Fort William.

I also saw it on one end of a Network Rail test train a few times, with a yellow one on the other end. The yellow one had a name though.
