I don't think we've had a mention of this - on the Woodlesford web site. There is a long page about the sad end of Swillington House, concentrating on its time as a WW1 convalescent hospital. It was then sold to Bowers, and converted to miners' flats; in 1925 they held 130 people. As you read this is becomes clear that it was already badly damaged by subsidence, and had a limited lifetime - it was demolished by the NCB in 1952.
There's a bit more about the Lowthers and Bowers (and Pease and Partners), and a TV programme from 1969 about Jim Bullock, who was born in Bowers Row and ended up living in the remaining bit of Swillington House (the stables). This includes film of the mine workings (though i can't see anything about exactly where and when), and Jim's commentary.

As others have put Bowers Row was BR's name for the loading point for coal from St. Aidan's opencast. The latter closed after the mining operations broke the banks of the adjacent River Aire on 19th March 1988 flooding the site.
I seem to recall that the brake van used to work to/from Allerton Bywater in the later years was kept at Castleford East Junction where the line diverged from the Castleford to Milford Junction line, but I may be wrong.
Wintersett opened and closed a few times; there were Freightliner hoppers in there regularly when I worked in the area from around 2008- IIRC they loaded them as well as just stabling, but the site fell out of use a couple of years later.
