New Member Bourdon dot test help
Hello people I am new to forum's so hopefully I am in the right place for some help. For the Bourdon dot test I have two versions of mock tests. One I have four grids on one sheet of A4 paper, landscape version. The second is portrait and has two grids per A4 sheet. What version does the assessment centre use please? Thank you

It’s like a fold out large sheet but essentially each page / section is portrait and the equivalent of one sheet of dots per A4. So one page of A4 before they tell you to move on to the next one if you like. If you download the program from this forum and print them out it’s accurate for practice.

The group bordon test I did was very different. 5 groups of dots on three a4 sheets with instructions on the top half of the first sheet.

Pushing my luck, could you let me know if the following is anywhere near the estimated pass mark please?
On average 1300 cell 0 errors a d 2-5 omissions

The pass mark seems to be a closely guarded secret so all I can say is aim for accuracy over speed, but the number of lines you do is important too. I found the GB test is probably the only one of the assessments that you can improve on significantly with practice.

7-8 lines with no errors seems to be muted as being the expected for a pass at standard level.

This can only be done with much practice, the ones that don’t are the ones who don’t make it through!

I didn't practise and I made it through..

Half way down with no errors and I passed at enhanced. Go for accuracy over speed.

Off necessary, slow right down until you have zero errors then gradually pick up the pace, even if you have to start from 2 lines per sheet, you’ll eventually get better.

I will say, I found them extremely boring and gave up practicing after half an hour. Too much of it can make your eyes go funny.
