I've found a few threads on this subject, but they all cover travelling from a London zone to a station outside. I'm interested in a journey Woking-Ealing Broadway. Peak time Travelcard from Woking to zones 1-6 is £27.30, but a combination of a zones 1-4 peak Travelcard (£11) plus Woking-Boundary Zone 4 anytime return (also £11) is a big saving, particulary as this will be a regular commute (not frequent enough to make a season ticket worthwhile though).
I want to be sure that the boundary zone 4 plus zone 1-4 travelcard combination is valid for travel from outside the zones, and that it will be valid on a non-stop Woking-Waterloo train. Fairly sure this is fine from reading the other threads, but being extra careful as it's my wife making the journey and don't want to be responsible for penalty fares if she meets a ticket inspector!
Does anyone know if the SWT ticket machines at Woking sell Boundary Zone tickets? The queues at the windows in the morning are often horrendous and I know BZ tickets can't be bought online for some reason.
Thanks
Ian
