Morning,

I had a SWR rail voucher to use up so this morning I asked for "2 Gold Card, Off peak returns to Durrington from Victoria" for travel on Friday. . I have an Oyster Z1-3 annual gold card.

What I was sold was 2 "Boundary Zone 3 - Durrington" tickets.

However my partner doesn't have a gold card, so I imagine the ticket for her won't be valid.

Should I just go back and change them, or would any Zones 1-3 ticket for her be sufficient? (or some excess ticket) The que was quite long this morning so I didn't go back!

Any Zones 1-3 ticket would suffice for your partner, but if it means buying one you might ant to go back and change one of the tickets. It is entirely legitimate for your ticket to start at the boundary while your partners ticket starts from Victoria and for both to have the Gold Card discount applied. The difference in price for the one ticket that is currently incorrect is under £3 so it is probably best to get it changed, but it will need to be at the issuing office.
