What is the deal with a borderline pass in the the trp tests is it classed as a pass or fail? If I get a borderline pass does it mean I only have one more crack at it?

No (as far as the industry is concerned, you still have your two chances intact), but it may well mean that a subsequent fail (or even another borderline pass) may see that particular TOC refuse to consider you in future. I got a borderline pass on the reactions test, and was told the TOC I had applied for would not accept any further applications if it happened again.
In other words, they treat it as a fail. Speak to the HR department of the relevant TOC, they are the only people who can give you a definitive answer. I wouldn't worry, however; new assessments are being introduced in the autumn, and no matter what has gone before, your 'two chances' will be reinstated.

Some TOC's bring in stricter rules than the industrial standard rules to make it harder for applicants to get in. Too many people pass the tests so they disallow borederline passes to make it harder. This is a relatively recent thing that has come in. When I did my tests borederline passes were ok with every TOC.
What are the new assessments you mention NI?
Are these a new suite of tests or just one single replacement? Do we need to start revising now??

A guy I know got through everything but got a bordeline pass on one test, and was told Northern don't accept this so he was immediately rejected. I think he still had his 2 chances available though to try again

Heathrow Express is one of them, they require B and above grades and have a special test for them at OPC called the multi tasking test
all that stuff means nothing after u pass for driving they will be intrested in his Sol file not a crappy test

Thanks for this, it makes interesting reading. Seems like the new tests will be in place later this year so not much time left to try a second time on tests you would know and understand!
