Does anyone know where you can obtain books about track geometry and behavior? It's always been a subject that has interested me..

TIA

Start with the Permanent Way Institution book "British Railway Track - Design, Construction & Maintenance" 6th Edition, which you should obtain through your local Library as it is being superseded.

This will give you a good indication of UK practice.

US practice (AREMA/FRA/AAR) is much different to ours, however I will send you the technical extracts from the track design manuals I have by email tonight. These will give guidance but are not representative of UK practice.
