Booking on LNER website .. Is it possible to increase connection time ?

I want to book a ticket from Glasgow Queens Street to Edinburgh then on to Newcastle, with a longer stop at Edinburgh (say an hour)

Is this possible on the LNER website .. and if so, how

I know it is possible using the Forum's own ticket site, but then .. is there the availability of booking exact seats for the LNER journey, which I do know is easy on the LNER site.

You can choose specific seats on the forum's ticketing site, even if the relevant TOC employs purely random allocation.

The only snag .. the last time I was going to book LNER tickets on the Forum's site, the tickets were not yet available to buy, although they were available on the LNER site. I had set a ticket alert on the LNER site, so maybe I was just a little too quick
