Booking horizon- Caledonian Sleeper

Does anyone know how far in advance this can be booked? RSTL says 12 weeks, local station says 56 days, Caledonian themselves don't deal with Priv enquiries.

Looking to book mid august, no rooms available, even though there are some shiwn on the website. It mentions that there are limited free Priv rooms, is this the case for non-safeguarded and it's just that the Priv allocation is gone?

It's 12 months for normal public fares.

Rail Staff Travel reservations are very limited and only a handful exist per night, and have a completely separate quota.

RDG Staff Travel says berth reservations can't be made more than 90 days in advance due to a system limitation.

I'd call them, they can book over the phone, but I suspect there's no staff availability left.

To book a staff discounted (priv rate) ticket you should follow the steps below:

1. On the journey details entry screen, enter the journey details to find the Caledonian Sleeper service you wish to reserve on.

2. Once the journey results screen is shown, select the Caledonian Sleeper service you wish to travel on.

3. The fares shown will be a mixture of Anytime, Off Peak and Caledonian Sleeper inclusive fares. You will need to search through to find the appropriate Caledonian Sleeper inclusive fare for your journey.

4. If there is just one person travelling, then you should look for Classic Solo fares (if you hold Standard Class staff travel facilities) or Club Solo fares (if you hold 1st Class staff travel facilities)

5. If there are two people travelling, then you should look for Classic Twin fares (if you hold Standard Class staff travel facilities) or Club Twin fares (if you hold 1st Class staff travel facilities)

6. When selecting the "Buy Now" option, you will then need to confirm the passenger details.

7. Once you pay, you will then receive your ticket.

Is this on the rail staff travel website? I have tried phoning caledonian sleeper but the say their staff booking option has been disabled

I'm seeing availability for both the Lowlander and the Highlander right up to 6th December on RST Online.

If you've got an RST Online Leisure Card, that's not valid on Caledonian Sleeper at all, however.
