Bonding in an ATFS system area

Hi,

Does anyone know what the maximum track to track bond separation is in an ATFS area?

I have looked through NR/SP/ELP/21085 but it only states distances for classic feeding systems.

Unless shown differently on the traction return bonding plan, the distance is as shown in NR/SP/ELP/21085 Issue E3.

All systems converted to ATFS have the earthing requirements assessed by the OHL designer, and if any additional track to trackl bond were necessary then they would be installed, however track to track are only a backup system in case the specific traction return rail is broken and unless the traction unit is near the track to track what little current will be flowing is lost naturally through the resistive properties of the steel rail, which contrary to popular belief is not as good a conductor as the RC system.
