I find it amusing that Merseyrail have 17%! Based on what, exactly?

Presumably 83% of people think that they should have on board toilets? And 17% are happy without any toilets? Or maybe the 17% think that the rear cab is a nice spacious toilet with a wonderful view; it is Liverpool we're talking about

Either that or they just assume that they will be bad. I think the assumption is the reason for the general low scores TBH; most people I know wouldn't go near an on-train toilet unless they were desperate (on a short route, anyway).

It's not implausible for the routes they operate; most Scotrail units have loos (even for the Glasgow suburban work), and they will soon be adding them to the 320s leaving only the 314s without.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said of Northern Rail, the toilets on the 142s are not very nice places to be!

I must admit, Northerns weren't too bad until recently but they seem to have gotten worse in the last year or so.

I was unaware that London Overground offered any on-train toilet facilities.

All 172s Except LOROLs 172s have toilets...Except of course, in the vestubles on a weekend night no doubt!

The 150 toilets had been locked out of use for quite a while though hadn't they? The LO 172s don't have toilets either.

EDIT - Beaten to it by TEW, sorry, it was confirmed in TRUK a couple of issues ago. Also of note, all ELL stations (Dalston Jn-West Croydon/Crystal Palace/New Cross), no trains or stations have toilets, except for New Cross, managed by SE.

only issue i ever had with FGWs toilets wasnt the companys fault, it was a fella who couldn't wait till he got home for a lamb shank and forgot to lock the door. EMT have reasonable toilets when the fair dodgers arent hiding in them, same goes for Northern though i nearly died in the loo on a northern pacer once after a, shall we say portly gentleman had left 2 mins before i wanted to go in i dont think the system could cope. Ok thats enough of my toilet humour now i'll get my coat.....
