According to the 'Argus' newspaper, On Tuesday July 06th 2010, a 'rubbish removal train' will arrive at East Grinstead station at approx 18.00pm. (This will no doubt be subject to change depending on available paths etc). This is where the national rail network, joins up with the extension from the Bluebell Railway which is currentley being built. Members of the public are welcome to witness, but as the space is limited, tickets must be booked in advance. GBRF are believed to have the contract to transport the rubbish away, so traction will most likely be a 66, or maybe a 73 running on diesel power (Again operator could change, so please don't take this as 'gospel'. I hope this info proves useful to those who are interested. Tel number for The Bluebell Railway is 01825 720800.
