Visiting Engines:
60163 ‘Tornado’ - Completed 2008
2999 ‘Lady of Legend’ - Completed 2019
6880 ‘Betton Grange’ - Completed 2024

Home Fleet:
32424 ‘Beachy Head’ - Completed 2024
At least 1 other home fleet engine TBC

The four engines this gala is centred around have a collective working life of under 25 years - this is a really unique gala!

Tickets are available from the link above, and I suspect the pre booking might sell out this year considering the lineup. Rail 200 has pushed a lot of railways to ‘go big’, and it has definitely been a great year for galas because of that.

The limit is quite high but they can sell out. If you sell an unlimited number of tickets (especially for a large scale event like this) you could find the trains full, standing and leaving people behind. You also need some tickets available on the day for people who decide to go that day or haven’t pre booked for a multitude of reasons.

A lot of services last year were full and standing with one visiting engine, imagine if we sold unlimited numbers of tickets with three! There are talks about making the trains 7 coaches this year subject to availability which would be a big improvement for capacity.

I really wanted to go but it's hard to get to easily in a day and back!

Perhaps a good excuse to do 2 days ;)

If I’m not volunteering I can do a day there and back from Westbury (admittedly starting at 6am and returning at around 8-9pm).
