Any idea what these are? I wondered if they were for warning of gaps, but they're only on one platform on the Met line at Baker Street - and they're all the way along.

They're strips of blue LEDs and about 2-3 feet long (from memory) and flash alternately. They're down the side of the platform and reflect slightly off the underside of the train, but I can't quite work out why?

Whatever they are, it sounds like some kind of trial.

Was it a bay platform (1/4) or a through platform (2/3)?

It was the platform furthest west (northbound I assume) so I guess a bay. Can't remember the platform number.

Because the new S Stocks are lower down to aid accessibility (the train is now level with the platform at most stations) the horizontal gap between train and platform is now wider at many locations, including Baker St Met, Finchley Rd and Farringdon inner rail. On a trial basis there have been recently staff on the platforms, new train stickers, posters and so on, because of the worrying increase in PTI incidents. This is just a further trial because of problems, particularly at this location.

Rather ironic that a design that increases access for some passengers also decreases safe access for others.

Platform/Train interface - that is, people not minding the gap between the train and the platform edge ;).

I've seen many stations with lighting to really highlight the gap, but at Baker Street it's rather weird as the blue lights aren't that clear and there's not really much in the way of other warnings (such as much clearer warnings on the platform itself).

And why blue? Usually everything on LUL is consistent, unless the idea is to try and experiment with different colours? Perhaps the LED strips are multi-coloured LEDs and they'll change the colours over whatever trial period they have?
