Exactly, thats what I am hoping forThere will probably be 455s departing Waterloo on service trains as the "farewell" arrives back into Waterloo
I’d say labelling people as “whinging” is not exactly helpful in advancing the discussion. People are unhappy, its to be expected when this surprisingly ended up being one if not the most in demand tour all year. The tickets sold faster than even the greatest gathering so its not surprising people were frustrated / disappointed.

I think there has been plenty of comments that go beyond "disappointed." Everyone had fair warning of when the tickets were going on sale and that there was very limited availability - I can assure you that getting fair warning of when a rail tour is going on sale doesn't happen very often. Every farewell tour that has happened has sold out and generally sold out quickly so if people were that desperate to travel on it, they should have been sat by their computer as soon as they went on sale.Exactly, thats what I am hoping for

I will transfer over to the service unit with my homemade “Farewell to the farewell tour” and go for another spin. I actually hope that happens.There will probably be 455s departing Waterloo on service trains as the "farewell" arrives back into Waterloo

BLS tour train 2 has just reopened bookings. No discussion starter intention Just incase some could not get on 1st train.

Yes, it is above and beyond from them. I’m sure many are grateful for this to happen.
A second train has been confirmed to be running, an hour behind the first one.

Shouldn't the 2nd trip have been scheduled to run earlier, so those who booked the 1st one thinking it was the last one would not be dissapointed?

No, but some people seem to have got it into their head that it will be for some reason. It's been advertised as a "farewell" not a "last chance to ride/see" tour.

I certainly don't recall poor BLS getting this amount of froth, when they organised their excellent Class 313 Farewell and ran it three whole weeks before the 313s ended service.

Is there any idea what units will be booked for each train yet?
No ideas which units for each tour but the tour will be comprised of the 455's currently at Bournemouth. So either 5712 , 5717 or 5727.
