Hello again

Does anyone know any further details regarding the operating incident at Blackwater earlier? Apparently there are (were) delays of up to 45 minutes on FGW services between Reading & Guildford until 1330hrs.

I assume this may have involved a FGW 165 or 166. It happened some time between 1100hrs and 1200hrs, I think.

Thanks! :)

I have seen vague indications on Twitter that the service had snow-related problems, but that seems a rather unlikely cause of issues, because the snow in the area started melting soon after dawn, and it wasn't that thick or particularly hazardous to any other trains, it seems. I live relatively near to Blackwater, and the snow here was a somewhat thinner covering than normally causes issues. Admittedly, it might still have clogged something up.

A quick look on a internal system provided the answer. But I am not going to elaborate as to what happened. Operating incident covers it
