Blackpool Transport - Mercedes Benz Citaro demonstrator

Does anyone know whether Blackpool Transport are just testing this 63 plate Mercedes Benz Citaro demonstrator or is it with the view of retiring some of the current fleet and using these buses as replacement?

To be fair they all look like they need replacing in Blackpool. We'll swap you our okay ones in Preston for these swanky ones when we get them!

I think you're right, even the Solos are getting unreliable, but don't know how long Blackpool Transport intend keeping some of their veteran fleet?
