Currently having a discussion regarding some public toilets located 'near to' the former entrance of Blackpool South. These were a seperate building to the station building, which was demolished in 1985.

I am trying to find out if these were 'public' toilets or 'railway' toilets - my brain says there must have been public toilets inside the (reasonably large) station building - can anyone confirm this, or at least throw light on whether such toilets would have been standard for a station in 1903?

Almost every staffed station had toilets until the 1960s, even smallish stations on branch lines - although some may just have had gents' urinals, and no "sit down" toilets.
