Blackpool South to Deansgate 08/08/2023

Hey guys
Wanting to travel home from Blackpool South to Deansgate tomorrow evening on the 7:30 departure. Bought the tickets but journey planner is saying "Train is cancelled". Does anyone have any advice?

7.30 p.m. train from Blackpool South to Preston seems still to be running. You'll, however, need to change at Preston for a different onward connection, as it's the 8.25 p.m. from Preston (calling at Deansgate) that's the one that's been cancelled. Do you need to depart Blackpool South (or arrive at Deansgate) at a set time?

Also, what ticket type do you already have?

Anytime return. Was rather hoping to spend the early evening in Blackpool. Ah well, will get the 6:30pm and grab some chips in Preston

Conveniently enough the Pendle Dalesman (the deciding factor of what train home i was going to get) was running early. Managed to hop onto the 7:24pm ex Blackpool North service
