Blackpool - Morecambe (Saturday)

Looking for the cheapest possible ticket from

Blackpool (BPB) (this is the one near the pleasure beach but don't mind walking to another to save cash

to
Morecambe (MCM)

Date of travel: Saturday 26th March
No Railcards etc, 1 Adult RETURN needed

Need to get to Morecambe about 11.30am

Leaving Morecambe around 6PM (though this could be subject to change, not by a great deal though)

Would you not need to change at both it and also Preston?

Either way, I highly doubt you can beat the Day Ranger. And if anything happens (I don't know; rained off, early departure from Blackpool and needing to kill time, opposite from Morecambe, whatever), you can then spend the day/evening wherever takes your fancy; maybe a celebratory drink somewhere south of Preston (if "you" win), for instance?

I live on the Fylde Coast & occasionally travel with Stagecoach, it is better to travel on the Lancaster Bus via Poulton & Garstang (Hourly service), you will find plenty services to Morecambe @ Lancaster. Warning, due to the continued Roadworks in Central Blackpool, Stagecoach service 42 to Lancaster is @ xx:15 past each hour & starts/terminates @ Abingdon Street, it doesn't stop @ Talbot Road Bus Station. It may stop on Talbot Road outside Home Bargains.

I personally wouldn't recommend going via Preston, unless you have lots of time to spare!
The journey time would be at least 1/2 hours extra & connections can be tight @ Preston/Lancaster!

Since the OP is travelling from Blackpool Pleasure Beach, it would a fairly long walk or a bus ride to Blackpool North from there.

The bus is OK but it takes quite a while and isn't all that frequent (once an hour daytime, less in the evenings) - it can be very busy as well.

Unless you're on a tight budget, I'd recommend getting the train.

Better service from Blackpool North to Preston than that from Blackpool South.
