I’m delighted to read that the head of BTS is now taking a more pragmatic view of heritage tram operations. If only that sentiment had been present in the original update last Friday. Still, every little helps - even if its a bit late. I’m also pleased to see the local MP taking an interest and I hope he continues to hold BTS to account as we move into 2025 and towards the resumption of heritage services. Time will tell whether this about-face from BTS represents a genuine commitment or a short term attempt to dodge a bullet. I‘m still not overly optimistic, but for now things are seemingly taking a turn for the better. The important thing once the hubbub dies down is to not allow this to be forgotten until a resolution is on the table (whether its good or bad).
