I don't think the quality of their ale is particularly brilliant.

Knew I'd missed one :P (That makes sense, considering it's 2/3 of a pint that they're bringing in!)

Weatherspoons started to do 1/3 pints CAMPRA were involved in that one.

It is 1/3 pint rather than 2/3 pint that although is still legal was phased out by the pub business and is being brought back in.

They do exactly that in one of my local pubs. You pay for a pint and choose three different ales.

I can't see too many people asking for 1/3 pints otherwise!

Yep. And always warm by the time it was served up at 11am. Room temperature milk....yuk!

I did use to enjoy seeing how many separate holes I could make in the foil top with the straw though.

We always used to fight over who got the bottle with the co-op "owl" on it... And the food colouring to dye it...

We were eleven

To be honest I have had a Bite card for about three years and haven't used it once, despite countless journeys. Most of the time it is because I have simply forgotten about it, the other times are when I am unsure as to weather the store accepts it and can't be bothered getting into a debate with someone about to prepare my food...

I'll give it a go next time though, especially pleased about them bars at Picc and Vic

LOL that made me laugh. I recall the straws were small and red can anybody elaborate on that.

Whilst I am not a beer drinker, in the US they have microbreweries were you can often get samplers of half a dozen beers of different strengths and colours served on a long wooden tray with holes inset. I don't know the size of the glasses.

Forgot that a my Bite Card got discounts on G&T but still cheaper if you have time to grab a couple of the ready made G&T in cans.
