Bishopsgate - tresspassers?

I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this, but at the site of the old Bishopsgate station, on the platform adjacent to the Shenfield down metro line, there seems to be a number of homeless people and/or homeless sleeping bags.

I wouldn't have thought this is allowed? It's been there for a number of weeks now if not months.

I'm afraid I haven't used that route for a little while so haven't seen anything of assistance to this thread, but if you think the people are trespassing, you would be best advised to call Network Rail on 03457 11 41 41. Alternatively you may wish to text locations/descriptions to the BTP on 61016.

I pass through daily and at all times of the day, there is certainly what looks to be an old sleeping bag there but I have never seen anyone actually trespassing. The amount of graffiti has certainly increased, general consensus amongst my colleagues and I is that this is merely the local scrote population making use of the weekend engineering works to scribble their uninteresting tags left right and centre.

At least one platform of Bishopgate (Low Level) closed in 1916 is still completely in situ.
The platforms of the former Shoreditch (London Underground) station closed in 2007 which were sited in a cutting have been infilled.

The platform that is on the left is on the "up electric", there is another platform out of shot on the right which is under the former Bishopsgate goods yard, and I think on the "down suburban" line.

It's an old sleeping bag, it's been reported and investigated by us a couple of weeks ago.

The access is firmly secure with no chance of anyone getting down there plus regular checks.

Glad to hear it, but never say the bit which I've highlighted in bold... you're asking for trouble!

That said, on the basis that I am making an assumption you are NR or TOC staff, if you can't get down there to remove the sleeping bag then I guess the chances of anyone else actually getting there and/or trying to sleep there are fairly slim!

Haha you are correct, probably shouldn't of said it but it's out there now!

Correct - NR. Only reason I remember this sleeping bag is because I had the report sent through to me, couple of months ago. Always found it odd myself how it got there as the access point was locked and would take a lot of effort to climb. Opposite is the old Bishopsgate, which is gated at top and bottom level plus is across 4 lines. Whole thing is odd!

Don't think that's possible, the walls above either are on the edges of buildings or private car parks.
