Looking to go Bishop's Stortford (BIS) - Heathrow tomorrow morning during morning peak, returning Weds evening. 26-30 railcard held (though expiring soon so probably not worth trying to organise a discounted oyster en-route).

Anytime return is £49.95, while the forum's ticketing website offers me £42.77 using BIS-London Underground Zones (1-3) [is this definitely valid on the Elizabeth Line?] + Paddington-Heathrow avoiding Heathrow Express.

I'd imagine BIS-Liverpool Street then Elizabeth Line to Heathrow would be most convenient, and I suppose I could knit together a load of singles changing at Tottenham Hale and taking Victoria+Piccadilly lines - what would the cost/time trade-off be like for this? And any other ideas?

Thank you!

The ticket combination is valid on the ELizabeth Line.

I'd go via Liverpool Street and change to the Elizabeth Line unless there's disruption.

Bishop's Stortford -> change at Cheshunt -> Silver Street, then Superloop bus routes SL1 to North Finchley, then SL10 to Harrow, then SL9 to Heathrow.

But being serious, just go via Liverpool Street and the Elizabeth line!

Or even Bishop's Stortford -> Harlow bus station on a bus from Stansted, then the 724 Arriva service to Heathrow. A bargain at £4, even though it will probably take as long as your suggestion with Superloop
