Birmingham - Witton - Walsall then Wolves - Ruabon

Chaps,

Here's a complex one - what's the cheapest way of doing the following single journeys?

Birmingham New Street to Witton (or maybe Aston - does it make a difference?).

then

Witton to Walsall

then

Wolverhampton to Ruabon

So I'm doing all these journeys TODAY and all as singles. My guess is Birmingham to Walsall and just get off half way through? Presumably a break of journey is allowed, and then Wolves to Ruabon as a normal single... or is there some sort of West Midland ticket that will allow a cheaper was of doing it, with maybe a split at Gobowen or whatever?

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Birmingham-Witton is £1.70 single
Witton-Walsall is £2.10 single
Walsall-Wolves would cost you £1.70 on the bus
A nNetwork Daytripper at £5.50 would cost you exactly the same for all three of the above journeys on one ticket.
Wolves-Ruabon is £12.40 off peak day single
total £17.90

West Midlands Day Ranger at £20 will only get you to Gobowen and won't include the bus between Walsall and Wolves.

Or you could use a Ruabon - Walsall off Peak Day Return costing £14.20, asking the ticket office for this/ or buy online. Starting short @ Birmingham with the Outward Portion, and then using it to witton with a BOJ which is allowed, and then using it to Walsall. Then use your return portion from Wolverhampton. You don't mention how you are getting from Walsall to Wolverhampton?. Can you not travel from Walsall back via Birmingham N Street?

That's very clever.

Travelling Walsall-Wolverhampton via Birmingham New Street is the only option by train but it's much slower than the bus.
