Anyone know of a cheap day return to london on a Friday in October half term
Any time, any station
6 people travelling.

Or if there is any cheaper way to get down to London

I think your best bet may be Group Save, which allows 4 people to travel for the price of 2, this is £54 for a group of 4 with London Midland and is valid into London Euston any time from 10am onwards. So for 6, 7 or 8 people the price would be £108. Can you get an extra 2 people to go?

If Chiltern into Marylebone is more convenient, then the price is £10 more for a group of 4, also valid into London any time from 10am.

The Daysoutguide site suggests you can't use LM and have to use Chiltern, but the National Rail site does list LM. Also Avantix 03 (I don't have the current version but one that was valid until a month ago) does give the fare of £54 for a group of 4 (£13.50pp) on LM as well as £64 (£16pp) on Chiltern.

Also up to 4 U16s can go with each group of 4 adults, for £1 each. So you could have 8 adults + 8 U16s for £116.

According to Avantix 03, if you want to go round London you can make your ticket a Travelcard for only £2.60 more for the entire group of 4, at £56.60 for 4 people, which is quite a bargain!
