Can someone assist me with getting the cheapest possible ticket from Birmingham-Macclesfield on Sunday 9th Jan at around 2000 please. Will split or change anywhere within reason

What price have you found so far? Any railcards? Just a single?

Its a one-way, no rail card
Cheapest I can get so far is..
£13.50 on the 2057 based on Birmingham-Stafford at £6.50 and Stafford-Macc at £7

That's a fairly decent fare I think! Split at Stafford and go for the 2010 out of Birmingham, problem is the 40 minute connection, that'll bring it down I think.

Have you tried splitting at Stoke and Wolverhampton?

I think WVH is the boundary for Centro tickets?

I doubt you will get it cheaper than £13.50, sounds like you know your stuff already :)
