Hello
I haven't asked for help for a while but this is a similar request to a previous one, I wonder if any split ticketing or fares wizards can help.
I am looking to travel from Birmingham to Great Yarmouth and back, returning to Wolverhampton (season ticket covers the over-distance) on either of the following dates:
Fri 30 Nov or Fri 14 Dec departing Birmingham no earlier than 13:00, arriving at Great Yarmouth no later than 20:00, returning
Fri 2 Dec or Dri 16 Dec arriving Wolverhampton around 19:00 (but more flexible).
So far the best I can get for 30/11-2/12 is £86.70 off peak return not via London, leaving Birmingham 1322, 1422 or 1522, and returning 1420 (the only possibility that avoids a bus that day) - as this is via XC to Peterborough both ways, can anyone come up with a good split for this journey?
Alternatively on the 14-16/12 weekend, there are currently VWC+Connections advances for £30.00 outward and £25.50 return via London both ways (the later return journeys giving options of staying on the same train through to Wolverhampton. Total this weekend is £54.50 at the moment. Can anyone beat that?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
