Nowt on twitter yet but just heard this at New St over the PA. There has been cable theft in the Longbridge area resulting in delays and cancellations that way.

Hope this is useful to somebody :)

At Droitwich, New St trains are delayed by over 20mins, some are cancelled due to vandalism. If that wasn't enough, Snow Hill trains are late due to a broken down train <(
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
And what a shambles it's caused:

I was going to go to Honeybourne but now I'm at home - this is what was meant to happen:
  • Get the 11:20 DTW-WOF (from BHM) - arrived 11:50; arr. WOF 12:00. This train had gone via Kidderminster
  • Get 12:06 WOF-Honeybourne - didn't know about revised cotswold timetable so we saw the service leave at 12:00
  • Got 12:24 back to Droitwich
  • Mum got full refund

Some New St trains have been diverted via Kidderminster so don't call at University or Bromsgrove.

At 11:18 a 5 car 150 (150/0+150/2) came non stop through Droitwich (heading from Kidderminster-Worcester), it said 'not in service.' I guess this is to catch up time, did anyone else see it? It was the first time I've ever seen a 150 go though Droitwich non-stop.

Are any XC services are being diverted via Worcester?

The Redditch trains seem to be running fine, but there's just the one Longbridge terminator an hour. Same going the other way, however according to the LM website, 'the xx:22 off Longbridge is running, but around 20 minutes late due to diversions on its previous journey'.

How are they working that? Running trains empty to Barnt Green then back up to Longbridge to start the journey?

It also seems that the New St - Herefords aren't calling University or Bromsgrove (going via Stourbridge?) outbound but are running normally back in. How come they are affected going out, but not back in?

Yeah, the New St-Herefords are running normally (and on time) northbound but southbound they're going via Kidderminster. Maybe the signalling problems are only southbound?

NOT ANYMORE

Droitwich is going to get busy:

In addition, the xx:49 Birmingham to Worcester services will not call at University or Bromsgrove. We will be running a replacement bus service between Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa to connect with Worcester trains.

Network Rail engineers estimate that repairs will be complete by 1700hrs, although delays and alterations are likely until mid-evening.
