Is it still the intention to reopen the carriage shed at Birkenhead Central to provide stabling facilities for the new EMU's expected next year ?
The shed was reroofed fairly recently, yet for some reason is not in use, despite stock using the adjacent exposed siding (and also station bays at Rock Ferry).

There’s no track connection into the shed and it’s in a very poor state inside

Nope, the only way it would ever be used is if the shed was knocked down.
