It most certainly does. And the Bin Laden compound is now a tourist attraction in Pakistan, with families heading out their to take photos and have an afternoon picnic.

There's nothing perverse about it, as usual, its people looking for a convenient conspiracy theory!

Obama's reasons for not releasing the photos are fair.

I was talking about the photos released on the Guardian website. They clearly show very graphic images of corpses following the US raid. If these shots are released, then why not the photos of Bin Laden? This is my question.

According to the BBC tonight, Al Q'aeda have acknowledged in a statement that Bin Laden is indeed dead, therefore there is now no need at all for the photographs to be released.

As to the compound in Abbottabad, it appears it will indeed be razed to the ground very soon.





Meanwhile, one joke someone showed me at work appears not to have got onto this thread yet:

It has been leaked that the US Navy rushed Elton John onto the aircraft carrier for Bin Laden's funeral the other day; apparently he sang "Sandals in the bin".
