The two nb ones are: 0619 BHM EDB & 0843 EUS EDB (1020 ex Bhm). A few Bhm-Eus are Super Voyager's, ive a feeling 0950 ex Bhm & 1143 ex Eus are. 1343 Eus Bhm extended to Glc- booked for a Super Voyager- i'd predict it being extremely busy.

Is the 09.50 from Brum to Euston - got a nasty surprise at Rugby when a Voyager turned up on the 10.24 so will make sure that I do not get that train for the next couple of weeks.

I know the route can be busy, but is there a particular reason why pendolinos are being used on the Birmingham - Edinburgh runs.

Is it just school holidays leading to extra demand?

I'm guessing it's because of the extra demand between Birmingham and Scotland during Easter, because of when VT are running the Pendos via Birmingham and Preston to Edinburgh ex London.

They did the same last Summer, particularly whilst the Edinburgh Festival was on. I wonder if they'll also do it this summer...

Yes, that would explain it.

During the Festival, I try to avoid all TPE/VT heading towards Edinburgh!

The quietest of the three hourly trains to/from New St are the ones that stop at Rugby - xx03 north and xx50 south. Hopefully, the Voyagers will stick to these!

Wouldn't it be better to operate a double Voyager to/from Edinburgh, with 8 Standard coaches instead of 4 on a Pendo? Last summer, the 10:20 Pendo from New St was full and standing every day in Standard, meaning First was often always declassified.

Seems crazy that the 13:43 from Euston is a Voyager, especially on a Friday when many of the Birmingham-Scotlands are full and standing at Crewe. It won't help tomorrow given that LM are having a field day with plenty of cancellations/starting at Northampton on their Euston-Birmingham services!

The only Voyager I noted on the EBW today was 1G32 16:23 Euston to Wolverhampton. Needless to say, it was absolutely rammed.

1G48, the 22:30 Euston to Birmingham was a 10 car Voyager with the rear set locked out of use.

I'm sure there was probably others worked by Voyagers but these were the only two I noticed.

These services should be made a permanent feature in both the winter and summer timetables!

Only when they have got more pendolinos running as I do not want voyagers on the Brum-Euston route, especially those that stop at Rugby.

Hos many Std seats are there in a Pendolino vs a Super Voyager? On busy services such as these to/from Edinburgh, 2 x Super Voyagers may have been a better option as you then avoid the problem of Std being packed out whilst First is quiet, as per the 10:51 Edinburgh-Euston on Monday.
