Someone is going to drop me off at Horley station tomorrow morning. From Google Maps, I can see two 20 minute bays on on the road passing the old entrance

but there seems to be a lot more spaces next to the bus stop at the new entrance.

Can these spaces be used for dropping off?

Looking At Streetview, the road layout seems to have changed.

If it is literally a 'stop and go' drop off, I would have used the top picture, particularly on a Sunday morning. (don't forget the clocks go forward tonight!)

Yes, I noticed the Street View conflicted with the satellite image, so there's no up-to-date Street View to help.

My main concern is whether those spaces have camera enforcement so I don't want to stop there if there is a risk of a parking fine.

It does not according to https://www.southernrailway.com/tra...ar-parking/automatic-number-plate-recognition

The car parks shown below are managed and operated using automatic number plate recognition (ANPR).

In addition, for ANPR stations on the same page:

Is there a grace period for dropping off?

A short grace period of 15 minutes is allowed once the vehicle has entered the camera zone to allow for dropping off, picking up etc. After this period payment is required at the applicable tariff. Non-payment will result in a postal penalty notice being issued.

In the end, we just parked on the single yellow line just outside the station, as that is only restricted 10am to noon on weekdays. It is still unclear to me whether dropping off is permitted at the new entrance. There is a sign saying that free parking is available in the spaces outside the new entrance between 1700 and 0400 but it is chargeable at other times. I take the point that it is not listed as a station with ANPR but I wouldn't take the risk. The car park is still run by APCOA so one has to assume it is super strict.

However, whilst I was there I observed people dropping off on the double yellow lines clearly marked as an area to be kept clear, and even saw someone drop off in the bus lane.
