Well for me it has to be a Crompton, was lucky enough to get in the cab of these a few times with my Father, most notable when Strood - Higham tunnels were flooded in 1987 (i think) when a bagpipe and TC was on the service cause the 3rd Rail couldnt be used. Great Memories.

No but I went up to Bodo which is up in the artic circle.

Prettty Boring as is Trondheim. Recommend that you do Myrdal to Flam which is off the Bergen line and also nip into Bergen.

The old coaches were brilliant -the seats, you could have 2 facing 2 or kick down on a lever at the side and have them facing the same direction. Think they reclined too.

Yes, because that's exactly what they are.

Equally, the Arriva loco hauled train that had working 37s at the front and back, which worked in a similar way to an HST, was 2 locos.

The fact that the locos are working together doesn't make them not locos.

Whether it is "loco haulage" or not is another matter, but that's more because the term "haulage" means to pull, rather than push/pull. So, for sure, a 43 can be included here, but the POTW debate is a bit less clear-cut.

Freightliner 57s looks nice IMO, as well as Sheds.

These are the best looking ones, but that doesn't mean I like them for bashing. 37s all day on that one.
