I did a number on the complimentary mini-bar last night, my bag sounded like a bottle bank walking down the stairs this morning. I ate all the biscuits in bed last night though.

If you want to include non-legal freebies, one of the joys of being on nights was parking in the short stay car park, one of the other joys was that no-one cared where the "Get rid of that old stock" went... Didn't go on eBay, honest... :roll:

At my previous employer, we used to have our team meetings at posh hotels on Lake Windermere. On a couple of occasions these were stopovers with a free bar (all got our money's worth)

Our official xmas present was a bottle of wine and a parker pen with the company name on it, but we also got a few parties (more than one, so everyone could attend something) and are due to get a nice bonus fairly soon.

When I worked for Merlin, I got a Merlin Pass that gave me and others free entry to all Merlin attractions, as well as discounts on all Merlin products in the attraction. In theory it was only 40 individual tickets, in reality it was unlimited as nobody counted us in or out!

in my dim distant days working for ASDA a bottle of whisky found its way to me for passing the mistery shopper! Good days and wish now id stayed and gone for management!
The voluntary sector in which I worked for 5 years gives you nothing and now self employed so occasionally reward myself with a nice WEF!

I do voluntary work for our Housing Association and we got £100 gift vouchers and also a travel mug and I attended a trade show and got a free model truck, a USB stick, another travel mug a teddy bear and of course the obligatory pens and pads.

Oh I also got a set of free ticket to watch Man Utd from our HA but I didn't go as I was ill in bed. Problem is I hate Man Utd with a passion.

We do quite well at Chiltern. Hamper at Xmas, Xmas do with free meal & wine, summer family BBQ day - often held in the past at Adrian Shooter's house with rides on his NG railway, profit share scheme (assuming they actually make one - its been a while!), now just been given free travel on ATW/Cross Country/LOROL. When AS sold his shares he gave everyone a cash gift too. I think we've been spoiled!

I think all staff (except drivers?) are being issued with a HTC Desire S soon too.

Oh, I got a free P45 from UKDC as well, that was appreciated because it meant I could go work for H&B, more money, more hours, better conditions, and I didn't have to work as a team, do team building crap, I just sat there, did me job, lifted n shifted, finished when I finished, and so long as the job was done, everyone was happy.

Now I come to think about it, at the place I was on a year placement, we got sandwiches/crisps every day for lunch (the company was mainly in the retail industry so had large contracts with various companies so I believe head office got some of it for free) as well as occasional Domino Pizza lunches as well. Saved having to make lunch each day :P

Aside from that, we also had a discount card for discounts at a number of outlets for food and drink across their sites...the KFC one was a favourite amongst our office!

The plan is to have all our documentation downloaded to them. WONs, PONs, Traction Manuals, Rosters, Job Cards, Job Card Amendments and such like

When I worked for Top Rank / Mecca Bingo in the eighties and nineties we used to have a conference abroad or at least out of the mainland every year. Wives were also invited and seperate events run for them while we were in conference.

USA, Spain, Jersey, Guernsey, Ireland, all spring to mind - most were at least three days with a week for the US.

The best ever was the 1998 World Cup Final where we flew over in a chartered plane (last time I smoked in the air) and stayed at Disneyland Paris.

From former colleagues I hear Birmingham is as far as they get these days
