Hi All,
So, a return from Reading to Brighton, outward this saturday (28th), returning monday eve (about 6 to 7).

I'm seeing £41.50 for an offpeak return.
I'd prefer to only have one change.

I've tried split tickets but they don't seem to offer much/any saving. Advance tickets were possible but weren't much cheaper and removed the flexibility.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

For a day return or single on this journey there's usually a nice saving to be had by splitting at Dorking, but for coming back a different day then it's very hard or impossible to undercut the through Off-Peak return (I presume it must be a regulated fare).
