Best Decorated Station For Christmas 2023

Happy Christmas to all those busy putting up trees, lights and decorations to brighten up the daily commute across the UK network.

Which stations do you think are looking the most festive? Who have done a great job and gone the extra mile to decorate their stations?

I think there are generally trees put up at large main stations, but there must be some smaller ones that have had some love from the staff who run them.

May not be the best decorated, but have to give a mention to the staff at Banbury who decorated the station, only to have the decorations destroyed by vandals a few days later!

Vandals have trashed Christmas decorations put up at Banbury Train Station by staff who hoped to bring festive cheer to commuters.

Despite this, they put them all back up again and the station is looking pretty festive on the bridge/cafe area.
It's never going to win awards for the prettiest station but they've done well considering what they have to work with!

What the hell is wrong with some people in this country probably is more accurate. The media seem preoccupied with the negative, rarely the positive.

I lived in Banbury for a number of years and whilst there are some dubious areas, generally the folks are very friendly and proud of the town. Like Sunderland station, the "new" Banbury one (only open for 60 odd years) is a considerable improvement on the old one.
