Thats a great bit of lighthearted comedy that makes you laugh. Today to make a joke you have to swear a lot and use a lot of smut.

Don't know what comedians you are meaning, probably Roy Chubby Brown. Some comedians don't swear much at all, means when they do it's noticeable.

South Park. I didn't like it when it first came out but now I'm old enough to understand the jokes, its brilliant.

Another vote for Family Guy, but some of the newer episodes seem to be getting a bit naff.

And then theres the likes of Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, etc. all the timeless classics, which have all been mentioned already.

Another vote for Family Guy, but some of the newer episodes seem to be getting a bit naff.

Not watched Family Guy but there was a guy watching an episode on a 390 one day and although I couldn't hear it (he had his headphones in like a good boy ), I could sort of tell what it was about and it looked like a classic. It was the one where they are ripping off Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when they drink the "Beer that wasn't supposed to be tasted" and start floating upwards but have to fart (instead of burp) to bring themselves back down

I believe the episode is "Wasted Talent"?

His humor is not to everyones tastes but, its just a typical example of northern sillyness. Something that is amiss to us southern softies!

Indeed, i bought the boxed set recently of series 1 & 2 , brilliant stuff! I've also grown to enjoy the American Office, i know the yanks didn't care for it, but i thought it transferred very well, pure class!

American comedy has to be Friends (the earlier stuff) and the Simpsons.

Father Ted is also a classic. Although a word of warning. Don't ever have a picture taken of you in Dublin with you holding some knickers and smiling, then placing it on the interweb with the comment "I understand it's the largest lingerie shop in Ireland". Not everyone will get it. And your mum will think you're some sort of perv

Yes I remember that. It was ok, but for a long lost classic which I'd like repeated, I'd go for 'Ever Decreasing Circles' with Richard Briars and Penelope Wilton.
