I recently viewed a video at 'a foot crossing near Bessecar Junction' and wondered if anyone had any info / advice on any foot crossings where I can catch locomotives powering up near / at Bessecarr?

Your best option would be to search ‘bessecar junction’ on google maps, and then switch to satellite aerial view and follow the railway line until you find the right location.

Try Open Railway Map - it is good on specifically rail locations, which Googlemaps doesn't generally know of, and shows footpaths comprehensively. Bessacarr BTW.
