BEng Electrical Eng - opportunities for graduates?

Hi There,
For BEng Electrical Engineering graduates, what opportunities are there for going directly into the rail industry ? I understand Network Rail has a graduate scheme that includes an electrical engineering stream but is anyone aware of other graduate opportunities or advice for getting a foot in the door for electrical engineering in the rail industry. Of course this is a very broad area. I'd just like to try and get a feel for what's out there and the ways of getting into this area whether it be signalling, E & P or traction maintence or anything else that springs to mind!

Having done this a while back, today, now, my hit list would be (some may well not be spelled very well);

Atkins Consulting
SNC Lavlin (Interfleet)
Siemens Mobility (Signalling and/or Rolling Stock)
Alstom UK
Bombardier (Although I wouldn't recommend it given on speaking to my peers)
Transport for London (London Underground) Rail Electrical Engineering Scheme (Not Electronics)
ARUP UK
Wabtec UK
First Group (Engineering MPEDS Scheme)

And of course Network Rail that you've mentioned.

And in the world of suppliers rather than intergrators there are a lot of options, but not a lot of them will recruit graduates.
