Saw a news article saying that Belmont station will get a new siding to increase capacity, but I haven't seen anything since. Were there any plans drawn up?

Used to live near Belmont. It was easier to walk the ten minutes to Sutton Station and take the fast train via Hackbridge than to wait for a slow train at Belmont that went via Norbury.

I'd probably take the ten minute walk, but if it was pouring with rain, or I was pushing a pushchair, or going for cancer treatment etc I might appreciate less of a walk and more of a train, even if it was slower

Plus it’s a good excuse to get the 4tph via Norbury reinstated off-peak
