Hi,
This forum looks like it provides some great advice so thought I'd register and look for some help.
I'm currently trying to begin a career in the railway. I have a PTS and currently do weekend work for a local contractor. The job isn't stable enough for me to pack in the 9-5 as they just ring you when they want you. Come Monday morning I'm just wishing I was back on track and look forward to the next weekend. I'm 18 and looking for ways to get a foot in the door and begin a career. I applied for the NR apprenticeship but was unsuccessful after the selection day, gutted. I found an apprenticeship for Babcock on the Internet and have applied (anyone who has any info on their apprenticeship scheme, that would be much appreciated).
So basically, has anyone got any advice on how to get a career out of this. What are my chances, be honest.
Thanks alot for any advice, cheers
